Are your bindings cracked or have they crumbled into many small pieces?  This is what you are looking for! The Pack Flat bindings are used on several of Atlas’s high-end back country models. This is a great binding/crampon package for general all-around use and the straps fit a very wide size range of footwear.
We also like these bindings because the adjustment straps are ‘field replaceable’ meaning that in the future, if you have an adjustment strap break, you can replace the adjustment straps (as long as Atlas produces them) without the need to ship your snowshoes in for a repair or drill out rivets.  The Pack Flat bindings are not compatible with crampons on older snowshoes which is why this package includes new crampons.

Will these bindings work on your snowshoes?  You need to have existing bindings that rotate on one of the two strap configurations shown below.  The new bindings and crampons will mount to these straps. These straps (called toe cords) are are typically very long lasting and robust.  If your toe cord is significantly damaged (like enlarged holes) this DIY kit may not work and you may need to have the toe cords replaced (not a DIY project).

Don’t know which model you have?  Take a look at the rubberized strap (toe cord) that connects the frame to the crampon/binding.  These straps frequently have numbers imprinted on them.  The number on that strap will be your model number.  Some old styles won’t have anything imprinted on the toe cords, but in most cases, Pack Flat bindings will work.

See a short video which shows how to put the Pack Flat bindings on.  Please note in this video that we mistakenly put a right foot into a left binding.  Bindings are marked with L and R which correspond to each foot.
